Ingredients:
- 3 cups wheat flour / atta
- 2 scoops of Pea Protein Isolate (unflavored)
- 1 tsp salt
- Warm water and Oil
Method:
DOUGH PREPARATION:
- In a large bowl add 3 cups of wheat flour, 2 scoops of pea protein isolate unflavored and 1 tsp salt. Mix them well.
- Next add warm water as required and knead the dough until it turns into a soft dough. Sprinkle water and knead again until it becomes super soft and non sticky.
- Grease the bowl with 1tsp of oil and roll over the dough over it so that there is a layer of oil over the dough. Close the bowl airtight with a plastic shrink wrap and set aside for 20 minutes.
PHULKA PREPARATION:
- Open the airtight bowl and knead the dough again. Pinch a ball sized dough and roll uniformly into a ball shape. Dust a flat surface with wheat flour and roll the pinch of dough so that there is a flour layer.
- Now flatten the pinch of dough into a round shape without putting too much pressure
- Put the stove ON in a medium flame. Place the flattened disk dough on a hot flat pan (tawa).
- Cook until the base is half cooked and then flip it over. Cook the other side fully.
- Place the half-cooked side on a low flame, increase the flame until it puffs up. Turn it over and cook until both sides are fully cooked.
- Delicious phulka is ready to be served with a side dish.
