Vegetarian Pizza

Ingredients:
Dough Preparation :
- 2 cups of lukewarm water
- 1 tablespoon of yeast
- 2 scoops of Saral Proticons’ Plant Protein+
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 5 cups of flour
- ½ cup of olive oil
- A pinch of salt
Pizza Toppings :
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- Sauce : Pizza sauce
- Tomato slices
- Sliced mushrooms
- Sliced red / white onions
- Sliced green/black olives
- Capsicums
Method:
- In a mixing bowl add 5 cups of flour, 2 scoops of Saral Proticons’ plant protein+, ¼ cup of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar, a pinch of salt and 2 cups of lukewarm water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, dough thickens and start to stick. If it is too wet sprinkle a little bit of flour.
- Spread a thin layer of olive oil inside a bowl. Place the kneaded pizza dough inside and roll inside the bowl so that it is coated with a layer of oil. Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap.
- Place the dough in room temperature for 8 hours for fermentation. Fermenting the dough upto 24 hours will give a better flavor.
- Divide the dough into portion sizes you will use to make your pizza. Push the dough down to deflate a bit. Set it aside for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile prepare the desired toppings like shredding cheese, Slicing tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, olives etc.
- Sprinkle dough onto a flat surface. Take one portion of the dough and spread from the center and working outwards, use your fingertips to press the dough to form a round which is 1/2-inch thick. Brush the top of the dough with olive oil. Keep this aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Take the dough after 15 minutes and reshape it if has lost its shape. Now spread pizza sauce, sprinkle shredded cheese and add your desired vegetable toppings.
- Preheat the oven to 250°C. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. You need to be careful as not to burn your base hence a watch over the pizza after 10 minutes is suggested.
- Slice and serve!
